For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technician Certificate Part III or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities This is the entry and training grade to the cadre. An officer at this level will be on–the-job training and will work under the supervision of an experienced officer. Specific duties will involve the inspection, repair and maintenance of mechanical installations including power generating engines, fire-fighting equipment, refrigeration and air-conditioning plants in public buildings, hospitals and institutions.
